I'll get things started with a recipe I've been making ever since I could reach the stove. It's for cranberry sauce. When I've shared my recipe, some people could not believe how simple it is to make, but here it is:

1 cup of sugar
1 cup of water
1 12oz bag of cranberries (washed)

Mix sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and stir until all the sugar dissolves. Add the cranberries. Return to a boil. Reduce heat and boil gently for about 10 minutes stirring occasionally. The cranberries will pop open. Remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature. Transfer from the saucepan into a serving dish and refrigerate overnight. Makes 2 cups of cranberry sauce.
