Lawrenceville's Week in Review: Aug 12-18

Here are some stories that made headline in Lawrenceville, Ga. this week.

Just after midnight on Sunday, August 12th, behind the First Baptist Church on S. Clayton Street. Three teens and 18 year old Jamarcus Lyons told Lawrenceville Police they were deliberately walking in the road, waiting for a driver to honk at them and that would be their victim. Lyons and the juveniles were arrested. He was charged with armed robbery.

On Wednesday, the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office's Fugitive Unit announced the in Norcross. Duoc Nguyen, 21, was arrested and charged with burglary and rape.

Two Lawrenceville men were identified by police as the. Canton Police say Dexter Damion Griffith, 20, and Joshua Ryan Cole, 22, both of Lawrenceville, are wanted in connection the theft of 51 iPods from a Walmart in Cherokee County. They are also suspected in 14 other similar crimes across the two states.
