Josie Needs a Good Home

This Jack Russell Terrier mix is up for adoption in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Josie is a lovely little Jack Russell mix female, about 7 years old and in perfect health. She is small, weighing in at just ten pounds. She was found running toward a busy roadway in Gwinnett. A nice woman stopped alongside her, opened the car door and Josie jumped in. The lady tried to find her owner but had no luck. Josie had no tags or microchip, was covered with fleas and ticks, and not looking her best. She was bathed several times, clipped close to the skin so the dirt could be washed out. She is now a cute little bundle of love.  Although her coat is short now, when grown out she is a little white dog with black ears. Her skin has speckled coloring and is very cute. We have provided a before and after picture of her so you can see how she more typically looks.

Josie is now living in rescue with several other dogs and cats. She is tolerant of the dogs but is a diva and wants to be somewhat dominant. She prefers to be with her foster mom and enjoys running outside with the others. She is fine with the cats. She loves all people and is sweet, easy to handle and enjoys being held. She has a playful nature and is trusting.

Josie is housebroken and crate trained.  She sleeps in a crate at night and is very quiet until she is let out. She a good eater but slightly food possessive so she is fed in her own area away from the other dogs and that is working out just fine. She is looking for a home where someone is around most of the day. A fenced in yard is required. If you think you can give Josie a loving home, please let us know.
