City of Lawrenceville Hosts GGC-Downtown Lawrenceville Corridor Study Open House Today

The third of four scheduled public input meetings on the GGC-Downtown Lawrenceville Corridor Study is scheduled for June 21.

Community members are invited to attend the City of Lawrenceville Open House for the GGC-Downtown Lawrenceville Corridor Study today, June 21 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The open house will be held at Lawrenceville City Hall.

At the meeting, the City of Lawrenceville will be presenting the draft conceptual master plan and associated recommendations for the area between GGC and Downtown Lawrenceville. The meeting will also focus on preliminary recommendations for the improvement projects for Collins Hill/Northdale Road between Highway 316 and Downtown Lawrenceville.

Community members in attendance will be able to review and discuss recommendations of the study with city staff and professional planners. Comments and suggestions will be gathered, recorded and considered in the final revisions.

"The Open House is a major milestone in the GGE-Downtown Lawrenceville Corridor Study planning process and in taking steps towards improving connections between the growing GGC campus and the city's downtown hub. the City is excited about the leverage the study will offer in facilitating future investment in the area," Major Judy Jordan Johnson of the City of Lawrenceville stated in a press release.

This is the third of four public events being held to collect input from the community on future projects in the area. A final public hearing is anticipated in the early fall of 2012, prior to the adoption of the final plan.
