After days of heavy rain, new waterways have popped up in some parts of Lawrenceville, Ga.

Rain, rain, go away!

A wet weekend and a rainy Monday has caused this stream to appear in my backyard. According to the National Weather Service, approximately 1.3 inches of rain has fallen in Metro Atlanta (measured at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport) since Saturday. Today will surely add to that total.

As of Monday morning, Lake Lanier was still more than six feet below summer level. At 7:15am, the level was measured atΒ 1064.77 feet. That's 6.23 feet below a full pool of 1,071.00.
