Local Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic physicians named Top Doctors in Atlanta

Three local physicians from Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic — the largest allergy practice in Georgia — were recently honored as Top Doctors in metro Atlanta. Drs. John A. Zora and Kathleen A. Sheerin of the Lawrenceville location of Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic (1990 Riverside Pkwy) were named to the 2014 list of Top Doctors in the July issue of Atlanta magazine, and Dr. Kevin L. Schaffer of the Snellville location of Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic (1780 Presidential Circle, Suite 200) was included in the prestigious Top Doctor online listing by Castle Connolly healthcare research company.

Four additional Atlanta Allergy physicians joined Drs. Sheerin, Zora, and Schaffer as Top Doctor honorees: Drs. Stanley M. Fineman, Linda D. Guydon, and David D. Tanner were also named to the 2014 list of Top Doctors in the July issue of Atlanta magazine, while Dr. David W. Carlton was included in the online Top Doctor listing by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a leading healthcare research company based in New York.

The Top Doctors listing is compiled annually by Castle Connolly. The organization also compiles Atlanta magazine’s list of Top Doctors annually. Doctors are nominated for consideration through both a nationwide survey and a peer nomination process open to licensed physicians in DeKalb, Fulton, Cobb, Clayton, and Gwinnett counties. Castle Connolly’s physician-led team of researchers then select the Top Doctors through a rigorous screening process that includes an evaluation of educational and professional experience.
