Where Can You Find Post-Christmas Deals?

Are you headed back to the malls today?

There was Black Friday, and then Cyber Monday. Now, the post-Christmas shopping rush begins in 2013.

Stores will re-open Thursday (Dec. 26), and many retailers with in Gwinnett will again be offering some good deals, to clear out merchandise that did not move before Christmas.

According to a report in USA TODAY, Walmart, Kohl's, Target and Macy's are among the retailers that will have special offers for shoppers.

  • At Kohl's, shoppers who spend under $100 will save an additional 15 percent off nearly everything in the store, while those who spend over $100 will save an additional 20 percent, spokeswoman Jen Johnson said.
  • Target, hit by a credit card and debit card breach that affected as many as 40 million consumers, plans sales of up to 50 percent off select toys and 40 percent off thousands of apparel items.
  • Wal-Mart stores will have "thousands" of items at 25-50 percent off, spokesperson Sarah McKinney said.
Also, Kingstowne Patch has reports that editors at DealNews.com predict this could be a big year for post-holiday sales: "Considering the volume of consumer reports detailing how retailers did not sell as much as they would have liked during Black Friday, and how holiday spending overall is expected to be down, we anticipate stores will promote After Christmas sales with especially enticing price cuts."

And some of those sales have already started. Amazon.com has its Year-End Deals page filled with discounts of 40-70 percent on everything from clothing to jewelry to electronics.
