Seafood Restaurant Scores 82 on Followup: Restaurant Inspections September 24

Violations: 2-2B, Violation of Code: [.03(5)(j)1&2 ] Observed employee beverage in approved container stored on prep table with foods. Employee beverages must be stored in a single use container with a lid and straw in a manner to prevent contamination of food, clean equipment, and single use articles. Beverage was moved to bottom shelf under rice warmer.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 2-2B, Violation of Code: [.03(5)(j)1&2 ] Observed employees eating on several occasions in kitchen area. Employees may only consume foods in areas away from food, prep areas, equipment storage and food storage areas. Employees was advised and stopped eating in kitchen.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 6-1C, Violation of Code: [.04(6)(d) ] Clam chowder and gumbo (approx 8 containers) cooked on yesterday stored in cooler at temperature greater than 41F. All other foods in cooler were maintained at 41F or below. All cooked potentially hazardous foods must be cooled from 135F to 70F within 2 hours and from 70F to 41F within 4 hours. All containers were discarded during inspection.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 12C, Violation of Code: [.04(4)(m) ] Sanitizer buckets (3) stored on floor. A barrier must be placed between bottom of bucket and floor. Lids were placed under buckets.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 12C, Violation of Code: [.04(4)(m) ] Chlorine sanitizer in buckets not adequate. Chlorine sanitizer must be maintained at 50-100ppm. All buckets were changed to be in compliance.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 12C, Violation of Code: [.04(4)(m) ] Wet wiping cloths stored on counter while not in use. Wet wiping cloths must be stored in sanitizer in between use. All cloths were moved to buckets.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 13A, Violation of Code: [.10(2)(g) ] No inspection report posted at time of inspection. Recent inspection report must be posted at all times.  New Violation. 14A, Violation of Code: [.04(4)(k) ] Utensils stored in water at grill. Utensils may be stored in water maintained at 135F or above, in continuously running water, or on a clean surface. Water was removed from container.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 14D, Violation of Code: [.04(4)(n) ] Observed employee crack raw egg and other employee handle raw shrimp then handle equipment. Gloves must be changed when going from task to task or when they are contaminated. Employees were advised on proper glove changing procedures, removed gloves, and washed hands.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.
