Ricoh Electronics Expanding Lawrenceville Plant, Adding Jobs

Gwinnett Technical College will help to train about 58 new workers for the 35,000-square-foot addition to the company's thermal media coating facility.

Ricoh is adding on to its Lawrenceville thermal media coating facility and taking on new workers, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.

The 35,500-square-foot expansion will contain machinery to make paper that can be used as tags in labels for many types of businesses, according to the report.

Fifty-eight jobs are expected to be created by the expansion. Ricoh is partnering with Georgia Quick Start and Gwinnett Technical College to train the new workers, according to a news release on the Gwinnett Tech website.
