Georgia Gwinnett College and several fast food restaurants-- including a McDonald's-- in Lawrenceville, Ga. were inspected.

The following are restaurant health inspection scores as reported by Gwinnett County:

Violations: 6-2, Violation of Code: [.04(6)(h) ] Roast beef, brown gravy, salsa and multiple packages of opened ham correctly date marked not sold/discarded within seven days. Foods were discarded. PHF's that are date marked must be sold/discarded within seven days (day one is the day of preparation and/or date commercial package opened plus six days for a total of seven days). New Violation. 17C, Violation of Code: [.07(2)(a) ] Rear area being used to cold hold/prep foods with non-cleanable ceiling tiles above area. Replace tiles with tiles that are eaisly cleanable. Ceiling tiles above food storage/food preparation areas should be eaisly cleanable. Repeat Violation.

Must supply warm water at 100 deg. F at all handwashing sinks. New Violation.

Violations: 2-2D, Violation of Code: [.06(2)(g) ] At the time of inspection the only handsink in the kitchen did not have hand soap. Soap was provided. Each handsink should be provided with hand soap. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. 15B, Violation of Code: [.05(3)(h),(i) ] Facility uses both Quat and Chlorine sanitizer. Quat is used for manual warewashing and chlorine for cloth buckets. At the time of inspection facility did not have test strips to test the chlorine sanitizer. Test strips must be available to test all sanitizing solutions being used. Facility needs to provide chlorine test strips. New Violation.

Violations: 4-2B, Violation of Code: [.05(7)(b) ] beverage dispensing nozzles not cleaned at a frequency necessary to preclude accumulation of soil or mold. At the time of insepction tea nozzels had soil accumulation. Nozzels were cleaned. Equipment, food contact surfaces, and utensils should be clean to sight and touch. Corrected On-Site. Repeat Violation. 15B, Violation of Code: [.05(3)(h),(i) ] QUAT test strips were water logged. Facility needs to obtain new test strips. New Violation. 15C, Violation of Code: [.05(7)(a)2,3 ] Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment not kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris. At the time of inspection shelving in walk-in cooler had food debri and residue. Shelves were also rusting. Shelves need to be repaired or replaced. Nonfood contact surfaces should be kept free of food debris and soil accumulation. New Violation. 17B, Violation of Code: [.06(5)(o),(p) ] Outdoor enclosure for dumpster/compactor not maintained in good repair and/or not clean. At the time of inspection dumpster area had boxes and trash around the outside. Person in charge said he would have dumpster cleaned. Outdoor dumpster enclosure should be maintained clean and in good repair. New Violation. 17B, Violation of Code: [.06(5)(n) ] Dumpster not kept closed. At the time of inspection dumpster lids were open. Lids were closed. Dumpster doors should be kept closed to prevent pest and rodents. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
