The cafe at GJAC was one of the places inspected in today's report.

Violations: 6-2, Violation of Code: [.04(6)(g) ] Gallon of milk, opened packages of ham & turkey without date proper date marking. PHF's that are held over 24 hours must be date marked with the date of prep/date commercial package opened plus six additional days for a total of seven days. Products were date marked during inspection. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. 6-2, Violation of Code: [.04(6)(h) ] Two loaves of unopened bread with use by/best by dates of 2/10 & 2/12 in walk-in cooler. Unopened foods can be kept until the use by/best by date and must then be discarded. Bread loaves were discarded during inspection.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.

Violations: 2-2, Violation of Code: [.06(2)(o) ] Observed employee using hand sink to add water to an entree. Hand sinks should be used for hand washing only, no other use is permitted. Had PIC instruct employee to use proper sink for cooking water purposes. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. Violation of Code: [.04(4)(q) ] Three bulk containers of chips stored in direct contact with the floor. Food products should be stored in a manner to prevent possible contamination at least 6" off the floor. Chips moved to storage racks during inspection. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.
