Northwood's Permit at Risk: Restaurant Inspections Jan. 22

Northwood Country Club could have their permit suspended due to repeat violations.

Repeat Violation. 11A, Violation of Code: [.04(6)(e) ] Plastic wrapped prime rib and aluminum foil wrapped baked potatoes, temped 43F-45F after cooling for 24 hours on a rolling rack in the walk-in cooler. Potentially hazardous foods not properly cooled by effective methods (shallow pans, ice water bath, adding ice as an ingredient, etc.). Manager discarded the foods. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. 15C, Violation of Code: [.05(7)(d) ] Non-food contact surfaces not clean - interior of coolers and freezers not clean (buildup of food debris located in reach-in freezer). Exterior of bulk storage containers and equipment have buildup of debris. Must perform detailed cleaning of all non-food contact surfaces. New Violation. 17C, Violation of Code: [.07(5)(a),(b) ] Physical facility not clean and being maintained. Food debris located around corners cove base and along floors. Part of wall around area that meets top portion of dish sink not clean (buildup of debris). Area around vent system needs cleaning. Must perform detailed cleaning of facility. New Violation.
