Captain D's and a cafe at Gwinnett Medical Center were also inspected.

Violations: 6-1D, Violation of Code: [.04(6)(i) ] Chicken wings, fried chicken & eggrolls were on time control (TPHC) at beginning of inspection & containers were not marked with the start and/or discard time/date. One container of fried chicken was discarded by the PIC, the chicken wings/eggrolls were correctly marked. The written procedure should be followed on items that are placed under time controls (TPHC). Written procedures were posted on the wall at the entrance to the kitchen area.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation.

Violations: 2-2B, Violation of Code: [.03(5)(j)1&2 ] Employee drink stored on stand mixer directly over whipped icing in mixing bowl. The cup is removed. Employee drinks must be stored in a manner that prevents contamination to food and food equipment.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 2-2D, Violation of Code: [.06(2)(o) ] Dry wall patching material and a wire brush observed stored in handwashing sink in back of the store. The items were removed. Handwashing sinks must not be used for any purpose other than washing hands.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 10D, Violation of Code: [.04(8)(b) ] Expired Mellow yellow (12/16/13), Powerade (12/28/13), and Diet Coke syrups (10/06/13)were observed in use. The owner will remove them from service. Commercially processed foods that are for sale to the consumer must be used or discarded by the manufacturs sale or expiration date.  New Violation. 12C, Violation of Code: [.04(4)(m) ] 1. Wet wiping cloth was not stored in sanitizer solution. 2. Chlorine sanitizer for wet wiping cloth too strong. The owner remade and placed cloth in sanitizer. Wet wiping cloths must be stored completely submerged in sanitizer of the appropriate concentration.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 15A, Violation of Code: [.05(1)(a) ] Milk container observed being reused for other foods prepared in the facility (yogurt). Owner advised to discard those items for single-use. Food contact surfaces must be easily cleanable.  New Violation.

Repair seal. Equipment must be maintained in good condition, with equipment components such as doors, seals, hinges, fasteners, and kick plates kept intact.  New Violation.

Violations: 2-1B, Violation of Code: [.03(5)(c) ] Observed employee use gloved hand to lay raw burgers on the grill, remove glove, continue preparing food, and then put on new gloves to gather chicken. Employee was instructed to wash hands and apply new gloves. Employees must wash hands after working with raw animal products, when changing tasks, before applying gloves, in-between glove changes, and whenever they become contaminated.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 2-1C, Violation of Code: [.04(4)(a) ] Observed employee scooping fries. French fries fell from scoop, touched hands,and then fell back into basket of fries. Employee was asked to discard fries. Employee is now wearing gloves to scoop fries. Bare hand contact is not allowed with ready-to-eat foods.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 2-2D, Violation of Code: [.06(2)(o) ] Observed employee using handwashing sink to fill coffee pot. Employee was instructed to use correct sink (prep sink) instead. A handwashing sink may be used for handwashing purposes only.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 6-1A, Violation of Code: [.04(6)(f) ] Foods in 2 door cooler by fryers (Swiss cheese, cooked onions,and shredded cheese) were above 41F. Items were discarded. All potentially hazardous foods cold-holding must be maintained at 41F or below.  Corrected On-Site.  New Violation. 12B, Violation of Code: [.03(5)(g) ] Observed employee cooking burgers, chicken, etc. with bracelet on. Remove bracelet. Jewelery may not be worn on hands or wrists such as watches or rings except for rings with a plain band.  New Violation. 15A, Violation of Code: [.05(6)(q) ] The 2 door cooler by fryer is not maintaining an ambient air temperature sufficient to keep potentially hazardous foods at/below 41F. Do not use cooler until repaired. Equipment must be in good repair and proper calibration.  New Violation.
