Dominick's, Sparkles Score Cs: Restaurant Inspections for Dec.18

One restaurant employee was caught not washing hands and another Lawrenceville, Ga. eatery had mold and rust in an ice machine. However, several fast food restaurants scored well.

New Violation. 2-2D, Violation of Code: [.06(2)(o) ] A piece of rigid plastic was covering one hand washing sink and two plastic pitchers were blocking the hot water control lever at another hand washing sink. Advised the person in charge to clean the machine during the time of inspection. The process started while I was on site.

New Violation. 8-2B, Violation of Code: [.07(6)(l) ] Can of Raid (Ant & Roach) spray was stored in the back storage area. Spray was removed and discarded. Residential use pesticides should not be used in a food establishment. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.13A, Violation of Code: [.10(2)(g) ] The most recent inspection report was not posted for public view. Most current inspection report should be posted in public view as required. New Violation. 18, Violation of Code: [.07(2)(m) ] The strip on the back door has worn off which has caused an opening at the door. There is visible light which can be an entry for rodents and insects. Provide a provision to eliminate the light coming from the opening (replacing the strip or filling the opening). Outer openings of a food service establishment shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents. New Violation.
