American Idol Concert Tour Will Hit Gwinnett

American Idol, the popular FOX singing competition, is bringing its live tour to Gwinnett, according to a press release from Gwinnett Center.

American Idol Live! returns this summer with its hit touring showcase featuring this season's top finalists. And, 19 Entertainment and AEG Live have just announced that the 40-show concert tour will be coming to The Arena at Gwinnett Center at 7:30 p.m. on August 4.

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. on May 3, and can be bought at: www.gwinnettcenter.com, www.AmericanIdol.com/tour and www.aeglive.com.

The tour gives fans a chance to see Season 12 finalists Amber Holcomb, Angie Miller, Burnell Taylor, Candice Glover, Curtis Finch Jr, Devin Velez, Janelle Arthur, Kree Harrison, Lazaro Arbos and Paul Jolley.

In addition, Aubrey Cleland joins the tour as the 11th finalist thanks to a special fan vote, sponsored by AT&T.

The 11 finalists will perform favorite songs from the season, as well as performances never seen on the show.

The season finale is May 16, and then the tour will begin on June 29 in St. Louis. The Atlanta area is the 21st stop. 

For every ticket purchased for the live tour, American Idol Live! will donate $1 to The Melanoma Research Alliance to help cure melanoma, a skin disease whose incidence is among the fastest growing cancers.
