Saturday in Lawrenceville

Get out and enjoy the weather at these three fun fall festivals, all in our hometown of Lawrenceville.

  • Rock'n Rib Fest

Don't miss the Rock'n Rib Fest in downtown Lawrenceville. This festival is presented by the Lawrenceville Tourism & Trade Association and 97.1 The River. This free celebration will feature a Tutu's for Tatas 5K, live music from five classic rock and tribute bands, rib and BBQ tasting, a kids zone, beverage and food vendors, arts and crafts, food eating contests and a celebration of the GGC sports teams. The festival runs from noon until 9 p.m.

  • Public Safety Fall Festival

The Gwinnett County Public Safety Fall Festival is being held today from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Coolray Field, 2500 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville. This festival features S.W.A.T. presentations, children's activities, a motorcycle show, pet adoptions, car seat checks, a softball game and an opportunity for the public to take a close look at police cars, ladder trucks and a helicopter. Admission to the event is free but attendees may choose to bring canned food donations that will benefit Gwinnett food banks.

  • Georgia Race for Autism and Fall Festival

The Gwinnett County Fairgrounds will be the host site for the Georgia Race for Autism and Fall Festival. The 5K and 10K races begin at 8 a.m. followed shortly by the fall festival at 10 a.m. Admission to this event which features a talent show, hot rod cruise-in and family fun activities is free. Food and beverage vendors will be on hand for those wishing to purchase concessions.
