Road Work to Begin on SR 20 in Lawrenceville Thursday

The 3.6 mile project will go from Hurricane Shoals Road to Plantation Blvd.

A traffic project cutting through the heart of Lawrenceville is scheduled to begin Thursday, August 1, weather permitting.

Resurfacing work will take place on a 3.6 mile stretch of SR 20 starting this week. The $1.8 million project will start just south of Hurricane Shoals Road and end just west ofΒ Park Place/Plantation Boulevard.

The work will primarily happen overnight between 9pm and 6am Sunday night through Friday night.

No parking will be allowed in the work area during the resurfacing.

Work is expected to be completed by Thursday, August 8.
