(Lawrenceville, Ga., Feb. 4, 2014) – Motorists at the intersection of Sugarloaf Parkway and Five Forks Trickum Road will benefit from enhanced turn lanes after Gwinnett commissioners awarded a construction contract today.

The project will add dual left turn lanes on Five Forks Trickum Road eastbound and lengthen the left turn lane on Sugarloaf Parkway northbound and the right turn lane on Sugarloaf Parkway southbound. The work also includes some sidewalk, curb and gutter and drainage improvements.

Baldwin Paving Company Inc. was the lowest responsive bidder of six at $978,138.50. Work should be finished by the end of this year.

These improvements are funded by the 2005 SPLOST program according to Gwinnett DOT Director Kim Conroy.
