Lawrenceville First Baptist Church Launches Annual Hunt for Easter Eggs

Kids filled the green searching for colorful eggs.

The lawns at theΒ Β were cordoned into four different sections in anticipation of four different age groups of Easter egg hunters.Β 

The day began with a solid overcast sky and a fine mist settling on everything, but that did not dampen the spirit of the . Volunteers set up banners, defined the sections with different colored tape and registered young participants with corresponding colored wrist bands. Next, they salted the four areas with 5,000 eggs which contained certificates that could be redeemed for candy and prizes. One lucky hunter to crack an egg would find a golden ticket redeemable for a MP3 player.

Prior to the actual egg hunt, the church puppet company, Hands In Motion (H.I.M.) provided entertainment with their show as they interacted withΒ Children's MinisterΒ Kevin Moore and the entire audience. Next, the children lined up at their respective areas and the β€œGo” signal was given. In less time that it took to set up, the lawns were picked clean of their Easter eggs!Β
