Private Pre-K and Kindergarteners Celebrate Graduation

(Lawrenceville, GA) — Families and friends commemorated the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten children at the Primrose School of Five Forks at their graduation on Tuesday, May 20th.  More than 40 proud four and five-year-olds celebrated a major educational milestone as they walked
across the stage—in miniature caps and gowns—to receive a diploma.  The day marked the students’ completion of private pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs at Primrose Schools, where students were taught the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum, which blends academics, play and character development.

A slide show of pictures collected throughout the year was shared with families and friends. Pre-Kindergarten graduates performed several songs including Days of the Week, Kindergarten Here We Come, Off to Kindergarten We Go, and When the School Year is Over.  Kindergarten graduates performed songs including Skinnamarink, International Melody: Los Pollitos, Frere Jacques, L’arana, What a Wonderful World and closed with First Grade, Baby.

Preschool education is the foundation for a child’s future.  Primrose Schools strives to ensure that its graduates are ready to succeed academically, socially, emotionally, physically and creatively in elementary school.  The Bracken Assessment indicates that Primrose students perform at about twice the level of their peers and also show 1.3 times more yearly growth. Results from a survey of parents whose children went on from Primrose to
elementary school show that parents rated their children above 90% in school readiness factors such as their ability to relate to peers, enthusiasm for learning, positive classroom behavior, concern and caring for others and ease of transition.
