Need a Little Christmas Giveaway Aurora Theatre’s Newest Holiday Tradition

Lawrenceville, Ga., (November 25, 2013) – Every year, Aurora Theatre strives to bring the spirit of the season to thousands with numerous holiday performances. However, some people cannot afford to have their spirits lifted through the joy of live theatre because of their current financial situations. Do you know someone who just lost their job or have a friend who is a single parent struggling to keep it together for the holidays? If you know someone who could use some extra cheer this time of year nominate them for Aurora’s Need a Little Christmas Giveaway and they just might receive a well-deserved night of food and fun courtesy of Aurora Theatre and participating restaurant partners.

Grand Prize Winners will receive 4 tickets to a performance of Christmas Canteen 2013 and a meal at McCray’s Tavern, La Cazuela Mexican Restaurant or Blue Rooster Bake Shop & Eatery. Runners-up will receive a family 4-pack of tickets to attend an Aurora Children’s Playhouse performance this December. Tell Aurora Theatre, in 300 words or less, why you think someone Needs a Little Christmas to nominate a friend in need of holiday cheer. Aurora Theatre Producing Artistic Director Anthony Rodriguez on the Need a Little Christmas Giveaway, “I’m thrilled with Aurora’s newest holiday tradition. With all of the talented artists we work with backed by an incredibly supportive community, life is good. This gives us the opportunity to ‘Pay it Forward’.” Aurora Box Office Associate EB Hooyer came up with the idea for the giveaway has this to add, “I came into the office and said, ‘I want to look outside ourselves this holiday season and bring Christmas cheer to those who need it most.’ I was overwhelmed by the immediate support from everyone.”

Need a Little Christmas Giveaway

• Grand Prize Winners will receive 4 tickets to Christmas Canteen 2013 and a gift certificate for dinner on the Lawrenceville Square. One winner will be chosen each of the three Wednesdays in December before Christmas.
• Runners-Up will receive a Family 4-pack of tickets to an Aurora Children’s Playhouse show in December 2013. Winners will be chosen each of the three Wednesdays in December before Christmas.
• All nominations are due by Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 4:00pm. Stories submitted on nomination forms may be used to promote the Need a Little Christmas Giveaway. In the spirit of giving for the holidays, you cannot nominate yourself.
