2013-2014 Chapter Kick-off and FREE Bowling for School Supplies Drive

The Gwinnett County Alumnae Chapter (GCAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is kicking off its 2013-2014 sororal year with a school supplies drive to benefit the Special Education Program at Berkmar High School.

“Our theme is Gwinnett County Alumnae Chapter | Destined to Make a Difference in the Gwinnett County Community,” says Latabia Woodward, GCAC’s chapter president. “We planned this event to help offset the out-of-pocket expenses many parents and teachers face with trying to stock classrooms with supplies the students will need throughout the school year. It’s our first event of many designed to make a difference in our community.”

The sorority partnered with Stars and Strikes Bowling Center in Dacula, who donated the free bowling passes in addition to serving as the collection location during the drive. School supply donations can be dropped off on Saturday, August 17, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Stars & Strikes Bowling Center, located at 1700 Winder Highway in Dacula, Ga. Those who donate school supplies will receive a pass for a free bowling game courtesy of Stars and Strikes.
