This Week's Whiz Kid: Emily Thompson

Emily's one well-rounded teenager who strives to be a leader.

Meet Emily Thompson, one well-rounded 14-year-old 9th grade student at Central Gwinnett High School in Lawrenceville who takes on several roles as a leader. This Whiz Kid is on the leadership team at her school and engages herself in other enrichment groups like Castle Alliance, which is an organization that motivates freshmen to be successful and to be inspirations for one another. Emily also attends Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church.

In addition, Emily is quite athletic. She’s a member of a swim team, life guard for Positively Pools, and a cross country runner.  But that’s not all; Emily’s an A and B student and a member of the National Latin Honor Society.  She’s also on her way to the World Finals at the University of Maryland from May 27-May 30 as a member of Central Gwinnett's Odyssey of the Mind Team.

Apparently the person that wrote this article left out the fact that Emily is the nicest person on the planet! :) I go to school with her and she never does anything remotely mean to anybody/anything and she's always a good person to turn to for help. I often tell her that it's an unforgivable sin to even think something bad about her. :) Everybody loves Emily. :)

Yes, she most definitely is William. I immediately sensed it during our conversation. I don't know how I could have left that part out ;)
