Gwinnett Medical Center is hiring a senior patient access specialist for the trauma services department. The hired employee will be working a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a full-time position.

A senior patient access specialist is directly responsible for supporting and coordinating the following activities: insurance verification and authorizations, patient registration, answer incoming calls, compilation of medical record and diagnostic results prior to office visits, appointment and procedure scheduling and office, hospital and procedure charge entry. This employee will also follow-up with patients to make sure testing has been completed.

The qualifications needed for this position are a high school diploma or GED. Applicants with an Associates or undergraduate degree will be given preference.  A minimum of seven years of medical office experience is preferred and employee must be capable of multi-tasking with strong computer skills.
