Homeowner Allegedly Shoots and Kills Man After Argument

Gwinnett County Police found the body of a man in a garage at a home in unincorporated Lawrenceville, Ga.

Gwinnett County Police responded to a homicide in unincorporated Lawrenceville on Friday afternoon.

Police were called to a home on the 1200 block of Mill Shyre Way at 2:45pm Friday. When they arrived, they found the body of a man in the threshold of the home's garage. Police say the victim had apparently died of a gunshot wound to the head.

The homeowner is believed to be the shooter and the investigation so far shows that the homeowner and the victim knew each other. An argument between the two occurred before the shooting where the victim reportedly attacked the shooter with a piece of wood about the size of a baseball bat.

Investigators are calling the shooting an act of self-defense at this time. The homeowner is cooperating with officials and is not under arrest. However, the investigation is still ongoing.

I live in this community and there is more to this story. When you have a Causian and a Hispanic - where as the Hispanic is killed? Sounds like a Traveon Martin case to me. This coummunity is highly prejudice and racist. I know I have experience a lot of things that are not acceptable. I still live there and believe me - now I am in fear of my life and my children who are not causian.
