The losses keep on coming for the Gwinnett Braves, who now have lost 16 of 21 games after Tuesday's 2-1 defeat by Indianapolis at Coolray Field.
Jair Jurrjens started and worked one scoreless inning in a tune-up before his return to Atlanta. He had mixed results with Gwinnett, compiling a 3-4 record and 5.18 ERA.
In all, G-Braves pitchers struck out 15 Indianapolis batters Tuesday, seven by Buddy Carlyle. But a double in the ninth by Gorkys Hernandez drove in the winning run.
Tyler Pastornicky, Felix Pie and Luis Durango had multi-hit games for Gwinnett.
Gwinnett remains five games off the IL South lead. The G-Braves host Indianapolis again Wednesday (7:05 p.m.) at Coolray Field.
