South Gwinnett Rotary Club Hosts Ice Cream Social as Part of United Way's Day of Action
Members of the South Gwinnett Rotary Club will bring smiles to the faces of about 250 children at the Lawrenceville Boys & Girls Club when they host an ice cream social. The event, scheduled for Thursday, June 21 at 3:30 p.m., is part of United Way's Day of Action.
The South Gwinnett Rotary Club, which has about 35 members, will celebrate its 30 year anniversary this September. The club sponsors a variety of service projects in the community and internationally including a Christmas party for the foster children of the county.
In addition, club members sponsor a one-year ambassadorial scholarship for a student from abroad to attend college in Georgia and sponsor Interact Service Clubs at Brookwood High School and the Lawrenceville Boys & Girls Club.
The club meets every Thursday at 12:15 p.m. at Northwood Country Club in Lawrenceville.
