Goddard Schools "Step Up" Awareness for the Environment
WHAT: Atlanta Goddard Schools® Stepping Up for the Environment Event.
Goddard Schools across Atlanta will be “Stepping Up for the Environment” on March 30th at 10 a.m., a day before the global Earth Hour event hosted by the World Wildlife Fund. Throughout the week, children and teachers will enjoy lessons designed to increase their awareness of how energy use and daily activities can affect the future of the planet and how they can conserve energy in their daily lives.
WHO: The Goddard Schools throughout Atlanta
WHEN: On Friday, March 30th at 10 a.m., the school will "Flip the Switch" and turn off all non- essential lighting for one hour.
WHERE: The Goddard Schools throughout Atlanta (a complete list is available at www.goddardschool.com) and includes schools in Buckhead, Roswell, Alpharetta, Canton, Cumming, Suwanee, Woodstock, etc
WHY: During Earth Hour on Saturday, March 31stat 8:30 p.m. hundreds of millions of people around the world will turn off their lights for one hour in a vote for action on the climate crisis.
